Our client is an electric utility company based in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, and successor to the former state monopoly. It operates nuclear, hydroelectric and fossil fuel power plants. Client's core business is production and sale of electricity. In terms of available installed capacity it is the largest power generating company in Slovakia and one of the largest in Central and Eastern Europe. It also generates and sells heat, and provides ancillary services to the power grid.
MO34 Project is one of the three nuclear power projects, which are currently being built in the EU. The scope of business of the client is a provision of specialized services through skilled professionals to the Nuclear power plant MO34 Project, in the areas of engineering, construction, testing, project management, planning and quality control.
1. Obligations regarding the job position of Electrical Coordinator and results required from the job
o To lead, coordinate and supervise all the supervisors of the assigned department;
o To manage the assigned contracts taking care about:
all the contractual conditions/clauses;
- to measure the physical progress of the works scope of the contract;
- to elaborate all the accounting documentation;
- to put in place all the recovery actions to recover potential accumulated delay (if/any)
o To lead all the meetings with the assigned contractors;
o To be a reference person for the other construction team disciplines and Construction Manager
o To check with Coordinator of QA/QC and Project Engineer that all documents, being responsible for the correct management of those to be delivered to contractors;
o To work with Planner in planning of activities, verifying subcontractor schedule, in tune with the contract, procedures, local regulation and Inspection Plan and Testing;
o To ensure the contractors are working in accordance to all the safety and environmental site rules, cooperating with the site safety team;
o To ensure that the non conformity process is applied;
o To be responsible of the results and the quality of the tests done by contractors, paying attention the defectiveness ratio;
o To cooperate with “reporting department” to issue a periodical site progress reports
To report to Construction manager and/or Site manager for any major issue could cause disruption on the project.
3. Requirements for appointing at this position of Electrical Coordinator
a. Qualification – Electrical Engineer’s degree or graduated relevant technical high school;
b. Experience – min. 5 years of working experience in a coordination role, preferably within a large scale power generation construction / refurbishment and maintenance projects;
c. Other qualifications – good level of written and spoken English and, in case, Slovak languages, computer literacy.
