Develop Nuclear Operations and Chemistry operating procedures to perform the system flush for the MOX Fuel Project. Work closely with Operations, Chemistry, Maintenance, Training, Engineering, Cross Disciplinary groups, and Operations, Chemistry and Maintenance Technicians to develop and process procedures associated with this project. Develop and revise, if necessary, procedures in accordance with the requirements of applicable Nuclear System Directives (NSD's), Site Directives (SD's), Work Process Manuals (WPM's), and the Procedure Writers Manual. All newly developed and/or revised procedures will be processed using Microsoft Word, Procedure Templates, and Electronic Document Management tools.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School education.
2. Ability to obtain unrestricted access at a Nuclear Station.
3. Basic knowledge of nuclear station systems, components, and general operation.
4. Ability to evaluate and interpret standards, directives, guidelines, and regulations.
5. Basic understanding of manufacturer's documentation, drawings and specifications.
6. Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self motivated.
7. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others to accomplish team goals.
8. Previous experience in the development and revision of Operating Procedures.
9. Effective time management and negotiation skills.
10. Ability to manage heavy workloads and competing priorities.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. 2 year technical degree.
2. 5 years Technical procedure writing experience in the nuclear industry.
3. Previous experience writing technical procedures at a Nuclear Facility.
4. Previous experience using or developing technical procedures for Chemistry Operations.
5. Previous experience with application software and functions (e.g., Microsoft Word, Word Templates, Excel, Access, etc.)
6. Previous experience drawing sketches and simple drawings using Micrografix Designer or equivalent type of graphic software.
7. Ability to coordinate and plan procedure changes, upgrades, new procedure development, and verification/validation processes within required time limits.
8. Previous experience working with Nuclear Station Technical Specifications, FSAR, Design Basis Specifications, Selected Licensee Commitments.
9. Demonstrated ability to recognize and evaluate Human Error traps within the text of Technical Procedures.
