The successful Incumbent for this position is responsible for establishing operator training programs content while ensuring that the training program implementation is in accordance with NRC requirements and INPO guidelines. This includes ensuring proper scheduling, tracking and documentation of all programs. The incumbent conducts and documents evaluations of training program and course effectiveness and makes adjustments as necessary. The incumbent develops, reviews, and approves training materials, exam questions, and exams. The incumbent also conducts classroom, simulator and practical training courses on the Senior Reactor Operator level. In addition, this position is accountable for appraising and reporting student progress and documenting and maintaining records for training. In support of these activities, the incumbent directly supervises approximately six instructors and indirectly supervises clerical support personnel.

 

Hiring range

 

The annual salary for this position is from $105k to $130k. The actual salary offer for the successful candidate will be within this range and based upon a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, education, and other appropriate indicators(s) related to the position. Requirements Qualifications

 

This position requires a BS/BA degree, a Sr. Reactor Operator Certification, plus a minimum of 5+ years of commercial nuclear power plant experience to include 4 years of instructional experience. Sr. Reactor Operator License is strongly desired. The successful candidate must maintain instructor certification. Candidate must also possess strong written and oral communication skills and ability to interface with the NRC, INPO, and other utility personnel.
