| Description |
| Purpose of Position
This position is responsible for the administration, implementation, and oversight of the Crane Nuclear Safety Program and Quality Program for Testing Products and Nuclear Services.
Major Responsibilities
1. Maintain and implement the Crane Nuclear Safety Program for Testing Products and Nuclear Services. Update the Safety Program, as required, based upon the Crane EHS Handbook, and industry or OSHA recommended practices.
2. Conduct monthly safety inspections at the Kennesaw facility, and address any findings promptly.
3. Ensure Crane Nuclear Policy and Safety Program are followed for reporting of accidents and injuries. Investigate any accidents and/or injuries to establish and address the root cause. Review and approve Field Event Reports and associated actions items involving Safety issues
4. Generate Safety reports to meet OSHA and Crane requirements and to support industry and customer requirements.
5. Maintain and implement Quality Assurance Manuals 1, 2, and 3 for Testing Products and Nuclear Services, as applicable. Update the Quality Assurance Manuals, as required, to address Crane Nuclear, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Code of Federal Regulations, ASME, ANSI, TSSA, and customer requirements.
6. Prepare, review, and/or approve Quality Assurance Procedures in order to effectively implement QAM 1, 2, and 3.
7. Review and approve of written Administrative Procedures, Quality Engineering Procedures, Manufacturing and Calibration Procedures, Maintenance Operating Procedures, Diagnostic Test Procedures, Valve Repair Procedures, and other procedures, as required in order to effectively support QAM 1, 2 & 3.
8. Plan, perform and document inspections, internal/ external quality audits, and supplier evaluations in a timely manner per the Crane Nuclear Quality Program.
9. Maintain required certifications for all products and services (i.e., Atex, NR, VR, TSSA etc.). Perform audits/reviews as necessary in order to maintain all certifications necessary for products and services.
10. Interface with management, customers, suppliers and oversight organizations as required, to ensure Crane Quality Program compliance. Contact customer regarding complaints to gather data and ensure resolution.
11. Act as customer liaison for Services requiring QA/ QC support. Ensure Services being performed under the Crane Nuclear Quality Program adhere to the Quality Program.
12. Train and certify QA/ QC personnel for field activities.
13. Review and disposition all Quality-related NCR’s, CAR’s and FER’s in a timely manner as required per policy.
14. Update metrics and participate in Strategy Deployment Monthly Meetings to review KPI’s for Safety and Quality.
15. Manage and implement the Crane Nuclear Documentation Control process for the storage and distribution of controlled documents.
16. Attend all pre-outage preparation review meetings to ensure quality requirements have
been met. Attend critical post outage critiques.
17. Develop and manage budget for Safety and Quality.
18. Prepare and conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports.
Required Experience and/ or Education:
• Knowledge of QA System requirements (10CFR50 Appx.B, Part 21, ANSI std)
• Working knowledge of ASME Code Section I, III, V, IX, AND XI/
• 5 Years QA/ QC experience
• Previous experience working with power plant valve testing, repair or refurbishment.
• Bachelor Degree preferred
