We are currently seeking talented/experienced Justice Protective Security Officer (JPSO) Supervisors for US Government HQ facility in Washington DC. Must have prior JPSO Supervisory or multiple years of JPSO post experience for anticipated openings. Supervisors would be responsible for maintaining security operations at 13 Federal Government leased or owned facilities. They will work with a team of highly trained front-line security personnel to control access using x-ray machines and metal detectors, inspect vehicles, patrol facilities, escort key officials, and guard restricted areas. JPSO's and SPO's typically have former law enforcement/private security and/or military police experience, and receive thorough pre-employment training. Supervisors are required to have superior client and customer relationship skills.
Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must possess a high school diploma or GED
Must meet and maintain contract physical fitness requirements
Must successfully pass a criminal and credit background investigation to include previous employment and personal references
Must successfully pass a physical examination to include a drug screen
Will be subject to a Government Security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Must have graduated from a certified US civilian police academy, a US military police academy, with 18 months or more of Law Enforcement experience. Must be knowledgeable of law enforcement procedures, including but not limited to stopping suspects, search and seizure, misdemeanors, treason, criminal law, common law, and statutory law, necessary to perform under this task order.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate must have Three years experience as a JPSO and/or prior supervisory experience, sound judgment and integrity supervising a security team. Must have a sense of urgency to respond to personnel and client calls 24 hours a day. We seek highly motivated self-starters with outstanding written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills.
