| JOB SUMMARY:
A Contract Agent develops, bids, and negotiates contracts needed to support the operations, maintenance, inspection, testing, and modification of SNC nuclear power plants.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Writes contracts for on-site & off-site services and items that cost over $100,000
Develops contracts "cradle-to-grave," including advising end-users who develop requisitions, Inquiries/Request for Proposal preparation, review of offers upon receipt from bidders, cost & price analysis, negotiations, risk assessment, preparing contract documents and agreements
Analyzes estimates of labor, material, equipment, production, and other direct costs
Ensures that all required terms and conditions are included in procurement documents and works with legal and financial services to resolves contractor exceptions and issues in a timely manner
Assists in contract administration, incorporation of changes, disposition of claims, and contract closeout
Manages large procurement projects from a Supply Chain standpoint, including facilitating and leading communications between financial, engineering, site maintenance, and executives
Maintains the primary interface with contractors in an ethical and respectful manner while protecting the company's interests and negotiating cost-savings for SNC
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirements:
Juris Doctorate of Law with an Engineering or Business undergraduate is highly preferred
Background/Experience Requirements:
3-5 years of previous work experience is required in one of the following fields:
Nuclear supply chain experience in buying, sourcing, or contracting
Licensed law practice with experience in contracts
Power company supply chain experience as a contract agent
Work experience in negotiating contracts is highly preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of contract terms and conditions and contract law is preferred
Knowledge of risk management is preferred
Knowledge of nuclear power plant equipment, components, parts, and services is preferred
